Introduction: The Jolly Hotel St. Ermin's is situated in the heart of central London in a relatively quiet side turning off of Victoria Street. The building itself is a listed building built in 1887, originally used as a monastery and then as a hotel in 1900. Just around the corner from St James's tube station and Victoria Street which is yards away is always a great place to hail a black cab or catch one of the several buses that have routes along this major road. A short walk from Parliament Square (0.2 miles) which is home to the Houses of Parliament, The House of Lords and Westminster Abbey. Just across Westminster Bridge which starts by parliament Square is the London Eye (Millennium Wheel) (0.7 miles) which is probably the most popular attraction in London. To the rear of the Hotel is St James's Park which is the South side of the grounds of Buckingham Palace (0.3 miles). To the North East at 0.7 miles is Trafalgar Square. This is a major landmark and events venue in its own right. On the North side of the square is the National gallery while the square is used to celebrate events such as the Chinese New Year and New Years Eve itself. The famous fountain with its surrounding lions is often a used an an impromptu bath and shower for visitors celebrating a particular event. Its should be stressed however that this is not actually allowed. Nearby major shopping can be found at Bond Street (fashion and jewellery) (0.7 miles), Regent Street (0.8 miles) and the Kings Road Chelsea (1.1 miles).

Hotel:
This is a Victorian style hotel with a traditional English style providing elegant and charming surroundings and a restful air. The hotel interior is dominated by the stunning Baroque Staircase and he wonderful architecture of the lobby (where afternoon tea can be enjoyed). Additions to the hotel in 2005 saw the installation of two lifts for accessibility, one giving access to the hotel restaurant and the other is installed at the hotel entrance.
In keeping with the overall feel of the hotel the bedrooms have a classic English feel but with a contemporary style. Room amenities include en-suite facilities (bath, shower, toiletries), air-conditioning, modem connection, safe, ironing board, cable TV, trouser press, direct dial telephone with voicemail, minibar, tea/coffee maker and hairdryer. Room configurations include superior rooms, one hundred deluxe rooms and eight suites.

Crystal Restaurant: This restaurant is open for lunch between 12.30 and 14.30. This is a traditional English Carvery and Buffet restaurant that can seat 150 guests.
Allegro con brio Restaurant: This is the hotels prestige fine dining a la càrte restaurant and is open for dinner between 18.00 and 21.20. An intimate Italian influenced dining experience with a capacity of 32. The restaurant reflects the hotels Victorian heritage with stylish decor.
The hotel also provides four private dining venues. There are also a variety of alternative restaurants and coffee bars in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
Caxton Bar: Fully licensed with full range of drinks. A nice touch being the outside patio where you can enjoy your drink.
