The Plaza on the River Club and Residence apartments enjoy a great position just on the
South side of the River Thames between Vauxhall and Lambeth bridges. Landmarks
such as Big Ben (0.6 miles), the Houses of Parliament (0.6 miles) and the London
Eye (0.25 miles) are in view from the hotel. The hotel is also well located for
the mainline train station at Waterloo (0.9 miles). Nearest
attractions include the London Aquarium (0.3 miles), Cleopatra's Needle (0.5 miles),
Tate Modern (0.6 miles), Cabinet War Rooms (0.6 miles), Westminster Abbey (0.7
miles), Imperial War Museum (0.7 miles), Trafalgar Square (0.8 miles) and Buckingham Palace (1.3 miles). Apartment guests and residents staying at Plaza on the River benefit from the use of the exclusive hotel facilities in the neighbouring four-star deluxe Riverbank Park Plaza hotel. The Plaza on the River apartments offers all-suite accommodation with hotel facilities. Guests are treated to a welcome basket on arrival. Suites are modern and contemporary with full height windows. All suites are of course en-suite where you will find under floor heating, heated towel rail, phone, robe and slipper, double sinks, hairdryer, top brand toiletries and anti-mist mirrors. There is hardwood flooring in the living areas. All suites have individually controlled heating and air conditioning, mood lighting, carpeted bedrooms, kitchens with complete range of appliances including a washer / drier, dishwasher, microwave oven, fridge and coffee machine. Amenities include iron and ironing board, cable plasma screen TV with movies on demand, CD / DVD players, High-speed wireless Internet and modem/data/printer port, minibar, US / EU power sockets, two-line speaker telephone (with voicemail, private number and direct dial), ergonomically designed work desk and personal safe. Guests are also provided with personal business cards, umbrella, morning newspaper and a pillow menu. A choice from one, two or three bedrooms. Some suites come with paved balconies. All suites apart from the studios have a TV in both the bedroom and living room. Room service is 24 hours maids attend rooms twice daily. The room service is actually quite special with the option to order both a butler and a chef to prepare and serve your in-room dining within the suite. Onsite is the Chino Latino Brasserie, Bar & Lounge serving Asian and Mediterranean cuisine and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant is stylish and modern with illuminated floors made of granite slabs. A feature here is the wine cellar which is on clear view to the guests. Thanks to the use of screens and partitions a sense of intimacy is created. Bread is freshly baked within the restaurant. There is an excellent choice of drinks which includes regional sakes, Japanese beers and modern eclectic wines (some sold by the glass). Complimentary continental breakfast. Restaurant open: Breakfast - 7:30 till to 10:00, Lunch and dinner - 11:00 till 23.00. The bar area is very trendy and the bar itself is raised and backlit. With sofas for guests to relax on this is a stylish setting. Also serves lunch, dinner and snacks. The menu includes an eclectic mix from sushi and sashimi to classic Caesar salads and charcuterie from the display counter at the brasserie entrance. Bar open: 11.00 till midnight. Food served: Lunch noon till 15.00, Afternoon tea and snacks 15.00 till to 18.00, Dinner 18.00 to 23.00. Plaza on the River offers a range of meeting and event rooms and facilities with a capacity of up to 1000 guests. Other notable features include a 24 hour reception, 24 hr security, concierge, security services, Laundry and dry-cleaning services. The Plaza on the River offers its guests a Personal shopping service. For the more energetic there's a state-of-the-art fitness or for a more relaxing time try the steam room or sauna. A nice feature is mobile, lockable wardrobes for storage offered by the residences. WiFi is accessible from all parts of the hotel. |
