The West Ham United Hotel is situated within West Ham Football ground. An
unforgettable location and experience with large double rooms having views over
the pitch itself. The ground has its own museum and megastore on the ground
floor. The location gives easy access to nearby areas such as Excel (1.7 miles),
London City Airport (2.1 miles), Docklands/Canary Wharf (3.1 miles). Being on
the eastern side of London you have good access to two huge covered shopping
centres at lakeside (11 miles) and Bluewater (12 miles). Other local places of
interest include the adjacent Green Street, which is well known for stores
specialising in Asian goods including fabrics, Asian fashions and gold
jewellery. Also worth a look is the London Gas Museum (2 miles), Galleons Reach
Shopping Centre (2.2 miles) and the famous Millennium Dome/O2 arena is 2.7 miles
way. The hotel is on the opposite side of the City of London to Central London
so the main tourist areas are some 7 miles from here, to the west. Historic ground that once watched the likes of Bobby Moore who captained the 1966 world cup winning England team. The hotel is actually part of the Dr Martens Stand. On match days the West Ham United Hotel rooms become private boxes with beds stored away in cupbaords. The hotel offers air-conditioned en-suite rooms with Interactive TV with pay movies, WiFi internet, and tea making facilities in room. All the contemporary styled double bedrooms have views over the football pitch. In fact only two of the 65 rooms do not look out over the ground. The hotels runs a full room service.
