Queensway Hotel
is located in Paddington,
just a short walk from the major mainline railway station and
tube stop, Paddington Station. This is the where the Heathrow Express and
Heathrow Connect train services are based which serve Heathrow Airport.
Paddington is a very popular location for budget
class hotels thanks to its good transport links and local
amenities while being little more than a mile from the very heart of London.
This area is to the North
West of centre. Just 400 yards walk to the south is Hyde Park
which is also adjacent to Kensington Gardens. One third of a mile to the north
east finds the Edgware Road which has an extensive
variety of shops, bars and restaurants, many with a Middle
Eastern flavour. Other popular nearby
shopping areas include Marble Arch (start of Oxford Street) (0.6
miles),
Queensway (includes a covered shopping mall) (0.6 miles) and Notting Hill
(1.1 miles) (chic and upmarket). Local places of interest include
Alexandra Fleming laboratory (0.1 miles), Church Street Market
(0.5 miles), Serpentine Gallery (0.7 miles), Sherlock Holmes Museum (0.8 miles)
and the Wallace Collection (0.9 miles). The hotel is on Sussex Gardens which is a semi-busy road as it leads down to the road which cuts through Hyde Park and used used by traffic to get to south Kensington.
