Radisson Edwardian Leicester Square Hotel

Introduction: The Radisson Edwardian Leicester Square is located in a side street, shut off to traffic, between Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square. The building was first built in 1904. This is about as central to the heart of the tourist areas of London as you can get. Leicester Square is one of the most popular venues for entertainment in London and is a magnet for visitors from all over the world and forms part of theatreland. Ringed with bars, restaurants, cinema and nightclubs is busy day at night. In the centre is a small green area with benches where you can sit and enjoy the surroundings. Traffic is not allowed other than for commercial reasons during restricted hours. Just north of here is Soho, famed for its great restaurants, clubs and adult entertainment. Buckingham Place, London residence for the UK monarchy is to the West (0.7 miles) and the banks of the River Thames is to the South (0.4 miles). Other notable close places of interest include the National Gallery on Trafalgar Square (0.1 miles).

Hotel:
The Radisson Leicester Square hotel was given a £6 million pound refurbishment and name change in 2007. A modern boutique style hotel featuring pale leather furnishings throughout. Reception area, lobby and hallways fitted with Diablo monitor speakers subwoofers.
The bedrooms are designed to be elegant with a touch of luxury and are furnished in cream and brownish tones. Expect added touches such as leather walls by Alma, leather headboards and marble and Baccarat lighting. In-room amenities include a Bang and Olfsen entertainment system, dual phone lines with personal numbers and voicemail, cable plasma TV and pay per view movies, hairdryer, WiFi internet access, Iron/ironing board, tea/coffee facilities and safe. The en-suite bathrooms feature black granite floors.
The rooms are configured as 25 Superior Rooms, 34 Deluxe Rooms (extra space and king size beds) and 1 Suite Deluxe Room (7th floor, 40sq meters, open plan lounge, extra work and seating space, walk in dressing area in bedroom).

The Leicester Square Bar and Restaurant is the hotels onsite 36 seat capacity dining facility. Bar and restaurant share the same area of the hotel on the ground floor. Vibrant, contemporary and intimate. The restaurant serves a range of modern and classic British seafood dishes. The surroundings are modern with furnishings of cream leather and decorations of original works of art. There are also full height windows on each side and these are opened during summer months. The bar serves a snack menu.
