Introduction: Situated in Central London close to major attractions and shopping areas is the Charlotte Street Hotel. Just North of Soho and Oxford Street (less than 300 yards) in an area known as Fitzrovia. Just to the East and a short walk away is Tottenham Court Road. Charlotte Street is a relatively quite side road although it is used as a cut through for traffic into Oxford Street. This is a busy major shopping area which is known for its many electrical and hifi shops, many a good deal can be found here. To the North West is Marylebone with the fashionable Marylebone High Street with a good selection of shops including a supermarket. To the West is Regent Street, yet another world famous shopping area with boutiques, stores, bars and Restaurants. At the South end of Regent is Piccadilly Circus and the landmark of the Eros Statue and the famous neon advertising lights. To the South is the popular areas of Soho and China Town. Soho is London's adult centre in terms of adult shops and topless bars but has something for everyone. It has a large range of pubs, bars and restaurants as well as theatres such as the Prince Edwards. It also has a reputation for bars catering to the gay community. This location is central and is just North of the very heart of London with easy access to London's Theatre land which centres around Shaftesbury Avenue between Soho and China Town. One towering landmark you cant miss viewing from the hotel is the BT Telecom Tower which is just over 300 yards from here and one of London's tallest buildings. This is a modern hip boutique style hotel where decorations include 20th century and contemporary art and a Botero sculpture. Work by British artists are include from the likes of Roger Fry, Duncan Grant, Alexander Hollweg and Vanessa Bell.
