The Travelodge Battersea is situated on the south side of the River
Thames and close to two bridges, at Wandsworth (0.3 miles) and Battersea (1
mile). The Travelodge gives good access to places like Wimbledon to the south of
London while retaining easy links to places like Fulham and Chelsea to the
North. York Road where the hotel is located joins up with Battersea Park Road
(0.5 miles) as you travel East, here you will find an excellent range of
shopping and amenities including bars and restaurants. Its actually the main
shopping high street for the area. Less than a mile to the west is Wandsworth
and its High Street where again there is a range of shops. However for more
trendy and upmarket amenities and shops the Kings Road, Chelsea is just over 1
mile to the north on the opposite side of the Thames. Local places of interest
include the Clapham Grand (0.5 miles) (club aimed at 20-30 age group), Jongleurs
Comedy Club (Battersea) (0.7 miles), Lindsey House (notable 17th century
exterior) (1.1 miles),
Carlyles house (1.3 miles) and Fulham
Palace (1.6 miles). Travelodge provide standard facilities across their UK chain in order that the customer knows what to expect at each establishment.
